- Six extra bodies can drown a chart. Read them only after the Sun, Moon, Ascendant and their rulers are clear.
- Chiron by house usually describes the arena; Chiron by sign describes the flavour of the ache.

Ceres was found in 1801, Pallas in 1802, Juno in 1804 and Vesta in 1807 — four bodies named for Roman goddesses at a moment when the chart had almost no feminine agency beyond Venus and the Moon. Astrologers largely ignored them for a century and a half.
They returned in the 1970s, when Eleanor Bach published the first widely available asteroid ephemeris and a generation of astrologers found language in them for mothering, strategy, partnership and devotion that the classical set did not supply.
Chiron, discovered in 1977 between Saturn and Uranus, arrived with a myth already attached: the centaur healer with a wound that would not close. Black Moon Lilith is not a body at all but the empty focus of the Moon's orbit — a geometric point that took on the mythology of the woman who refused to submit.
