Questions Answered

Every question readers ask across the site, gathered in one place. Each answer is written to stand on its own, so you can read just the one you came for.

In short

StartBound.Life is a free divination and self-knowledge app. It calculates real astrological charts from your birth data, draws from the complete 78-card tarot deck, and covers numerology, palmistry, runes, I Ching, Lenormand, geomancy, ogham, dream symbolism, chakras and the Enneagram. No account is needed, your birth details stay in your browser, and every reading is offered for reflection and entertainment rather than as medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.

Acupressure Points for Emotions

Open the tool →
How long should I hold each point?
One to two minutes per point per side is the usual guidance, with the pressure applied on the out-breath and released slowly.
Are any points unsafe?
LI 4 and SP 6 are traditionally avoided during pregnancy. Avoid pressing over broken skin, recent injury, varicose veins or areas of unexplained pain.
Can I use these instead of medical care?
No. These are offered for relaxation and interest only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
What if I cannot find the point?
Explore the described area with the thumb until you find a spot that feels slightly tender or distinct. Precision matters less than steady contact and slow breathing.

Angel Numbers

Open the tool →
What does 1111 mean?
An intensified 1 — beginnings, initiative and alignment. Traditionally read as a prompt to notice what you were just thinking.
Why do I keep seeing the same number?
Frequency illusion primes you to notice it. The interesting question is what made it salient in the first place.
Do these numbers differ by culture?
Considerably. Chinese numerology reads 8 as prosperous and 4 as inauspicious; the angel-number vocabulary is Western.

Aura Reading & Biorhythm

Open the tool →
Can auras be photographed?
Not in any demonstrated sense. Aura cameras render biofeedback data as colour; they are art, not measurement.
How often does an aura change?
Continuously, according to the tradition — with mood, health, environment and company.
Can I learn to see one?
Many people report seeing afterimage effects around a body against a plain background. Whether that is the aura is exactly the question.

Bazi Four Pillars

Open the tool →
Why does the month pillar not match my birth month?
Bazi months begin at solar terms, roughly the 4th to 8th of each Gregorian month, not on the 1st.
What are the ten gods?
Ten relational roles — resource, output, wealth, power and companion, each in yin and yang form — describing how every element in the chart treats the day master.
How long is a luck pillar?
Ten years. The start age depends on the birth month and the direction of the sequence.

Big Three Calculator

Open the tool →
What if I do not know my birth time?
Use midday. Your Sun will be right and your Moon usually right; treat the rising sign as unknown rather than approximate.
Why does the rising sign change so fast?
It tracks the Earth's rotation rather than an orbit — the whole zodiac passes the eastern horizon once every twenty-four hours.
Which of the three should I read first?
Rising, then Sun, then Moon. The rising sign frames the houses everything else falls into.
Is this a prediction?
No. It is offered for reflection and entertainment, and should never replace practical, medical, legal or financial advice.

Career & Money Reading

Open the tool →
Which house governs career?
The tenth, the midheaven — public role and reputation. The sixth governs daily work and the second earned income.
Can a reading tell me whether to quit?
It can clarify what you are weighing and what you are avoiding. The decision stays yours.
How does this differ from the year-ahead forecast?
The year-ahead maps twelve months of general themes; a career reading takes one vocational question in depth.
How do the four suits translate to tarot?
Hearts to cups, diamonds to pentacles, clubs to wands, spades to swords, with kings, queens and jacks corresponding to the courts.
What happened to the knight?
The fifty-two-card deck dropped one court card per suit; tarot kept page, knight, queen and king.
Is cartomancy quicker than tarot?
Considerably. It is built for short narrative readings rather than layered spreads.

Chakra Balance Test

Open the tool →
Where does the seven-chakra model come from?
Tantric texts describing six centres plus the crown, transmitted to the West largely through Arthur Avalon's 1919 translation and later colour-coded.
How long should a session last?
Ten to twenty minutes. Longer sessions on a single centre are common in formal practice.
Do I need crystals or sound for this?
No. Breath and attention are the tradition; everything else is optional support.
How is this different from the shorter chakra page?
The Chakra Balance page gives a quick seven-slider snapshot. This test uses twenty-eight statements — two for deficiency and two for excess per centre — so it can distinguish an under-active centre from an over-active one.
What does 'mixed' mean?
You scored above fifty per cent on both poles for that centre, which usually indicates swinging between suppression and overflow rather than sitting in either.
Which practice should I choose?
Each result names one. Over-active centres get a discharging practice, under-active centres get an opening practice, and balanced centres get maintenance.
Is this a health assessment?
No. It is a reflective exercise offered for interest and entertainment, and it is not a diagnosis of any physical or psychological condition.

Chinese Zodiac

Open the tool →
When does the zodiac year actually change?
At the lunar new year, which shifts between 21 January and 20 February depending on the year.
What is the sexagenary cycle?
The sixty-year combination of ten heavenly stems and twelve earthly branches — each animal appears in each element once per cycle.
Is this the same as Bazi?
Bazi is the full four-pillar analysis. The zodiac animal is the year pillar's branch alone.
Do I need any background?
No. The Beginner courses assume nothing beyond knowing your own birth date.
How long does a course take?
Between one and three hours of reading, best spread over a week or two with the exercises done properly.
Is my progress saved?
Yes, in your own browser. It is not uploaded anywhere and will not follow you to another device.
Which course should I start with?
Read a Birth Chart if you came for astrology, Tarot From Scratch if you came for cards, Building a Daily Practice if you came for routine.

Crystal Guide

Open the tool →
How do I cleanse a crystal?
Running water for hard stones, dry salt, smoke or moonlight for soft ones. Check hardness and solubility first.
Which crystals should not go in water?
Selenite, halite, calcite, malachite, pyrite and most soft or metallic-bearing stones.
Do crystals have scientific effects?
No demonstrated therapeutic effect exists. Their value is as ritual objects and focus anchors.

Daily Fortune

Open the tool →
What time should I draw?
Whenever your day genuinely begins, before external input. Consistency of moment matters more than the clock.
What is a lucky hour?
A planetary hour — the day is divided into twelve unequal day hours and twelve night hours, each ruled by a planet in the Chaldean order.
Should I save every daily reading?
Save the ones you want to check. A journal of a hundred unexamined draws teaches nothing.

Daily Horoscope

Open the tool →
Why do horoscopes for the same sign differ between sources?
Because they weight different transits and use different house systems. Two competent astrologers reading the same sky will emphasise different parts of it, exactly as two doctors reading the same chart might.
Does the precession of the equinoxes invalidate Western astrology?
No — tropical astrology deliberately measures from the equinox rather than the visible constellations. Sidereal systems such as Vedic astrology use the constellations instead; both are internally consistent.
What if I was born on a cusp?
There is no cusp in the technical sense. The Sun is in one sign or the other at the exact minute of birth; a birth chart resolves it precisely.

Daily Practice

Open the tool →
How long should a daily ritual take?
Five to fifteen minutes for something you will actually keep. Length is the enemy of consistency.
Do I need specific tools?
No, but keeping the same few objects strengthens the association considerably.
What if I miss several days?
Resume without restarting the count in your head. The practice is the point, not the streak.

Dream Interpretation

Open the tool →
Why do I forget my dreams?
Memory consolidation is suppressed during REM. Recall improves markedly within a week of keeping a journal.
What does a recurring dream mean?
Usually an unresolved waking situation. The dream tends to change or stop once the situation shifts.
Are lucid dreams useful for this?
They allow direct questioning of dream content, though the material becomes more shaped by intent and less spontaneous.

Energy Exercises & Mudras

Open the tool →
Which exercise should I start with?
Grounding Stance. Almost every other practice works better once the charge has come out of the head, and it takes five minutes.
What is the small circuit?
A Daoist breathing practice that carries attention up the back of the spine on the in-breath and down the front midline on the out-breath, circulating rather than accumulating energy.
Can I combine practices?
Yes — a common sequence is discharging shake, then grounding stance, then a mudra with coherent breathing. Keep the total under twenty minutes.
Is this exercise safe for everyone?
These are gentle practices, but they are offered for relaxation and interest only. If you have a heart, respiratory or blood-pressure condition, or are pregnant, check with a clinician before breath-holding or vigorous shaking.

Enneagram Instinctual Subtypes

Open the tool →
What is a countertype?
The one variant in each Enneagram type that expresses the type's passion in reverse — for example the self-preservation Two, who gets cared for rather than caring.
How many countertypes are there?
One per type in the standard teaching, though several teachers describe six as the clearest cases. They are marked in the list on this page.
Can my stacking change?
Emphasis shifts with life circumstance — new parents often move towards self-preservation. The underlying order tends to be stable.
Is this a psychological assessment?
No. The Enneagram and its subtypes are self-reflection frameworks with limited empirical support, offered here for insight and entertainment.

Enneagram Test

Open the tool →
How accurate is an eighteen-question test?
It is a starting point. Two statements per type will usually place you within the right cluster, but confirming a type reliably takes reading the full profiles and observing yourself over weeks.
What is a centre?
The nine group into three triads — Body (8, 9, 1), Heart (2, 3, 4) and Head (5, 6, 7) — according to whether the type's core difficulty is with anger, shame or fear.
What are stress and growth points?
Lines on the diagram connecting each type to two others. Under pressure you take on the unhealthy traits of one; as you settle, you take on the healthy traits of the other.
Is the Enneagram scientifically validated?
No. It is a self-reflection framework with limited empirical support, offered here for insight and entertainment rather than as psychological assessment.

Free Birth Chart

Open the tool →
Which house system should I use?
Placidus is the modern default and is what most software shows. Whole Sign is the older Hellenistic method and is clearer near the poles. Read both; where they agree, trust it.
What is a chart shape?
The distribution of the ten bodies around the wheel — bowl, bundle, splash, seesaw. It describes how concentrated or dispersed the life's attention naturally runs.
Do the outer planets matter personally?
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto move slowly and mark generations, but by house and aspect they become intensely personal.
What are the four mothers?
The only genuinely random figures in the chart. Everything else — daughters, nieces, witnesses and judge — is derived from them by fixed rules.
What does the reconciler add?
It is the sum of the judge and the first mother, and it describes how the verdict will actually reach the person asking.
Can the judge be any of the sixteen figures?
No. Only eight figures can ever be a judge, because the derivation always produces an even-parity figure. This is a known feature of the mathematics.
Is a geomantic verdict binding?
No. This is offered for interest and entertainment. Treat the chart as a way of clarifying your own thinking rather than as advice to follow.

Glossary & Learning Paths

Open the tool →
How many terms are here?
More than ninety, across astrology, tarot, numerology, divination, energetics, Eastern systems and daily practice.
What is a learning path?
A short ordered route through the app aimed at one outcome — a first week, reading a chart, comparing oracles, or inner work.
Can I suggest a term?
The glossary grows with the app; anything used in a reading page should eventually appear here.
Are these systems scientifically supported?
No. They are traditional and reflective frameworks, offered for interest and entertainment rather than as assessment or advice.

Guided Meditations

Open the tool →
How long before I notice anything?
Most studies report measurable attention and stress changes within four to eight weeks of near-daily practice.
Is guided or silent better?
Guided lowers the barrier early; silent practice develops more independence. Most people use both.
Can I meditate lying down?
Yes, though sitting reduces the likelihood of sleep. Body scans are traditionally done lying.
Which guide should I read first?
If you are new, start with the tarot fundamentals guide even if tarot is not your interest — it teaches spread logic and question framing that apply to every other system.
How long does it take to get competent?
Most people reading a few times a week find the symbols start speaking rather than being recalled somewhere between three and six months.
Do I need to buy anything?
No. Every tool in the app runs without a physical deck, though many readers eventually prefer shuffling cards by hand.
Are these guides suitable for sceptics?
Yes — they are written as symbolic and reflective practice, and they say clearly where a claim is traditional rather than demonstrated.

Human Design

Open the tool →
How exact does my birth time need to be?
Within a few minutes. Gate and line changes happen quickly, and the profile can shift with a quarter of an hour.
What is the 88-degree design calculation?
A second chart cast when the Sun was 88 degrees of arc before the birth position, roughly 88 days earlier, representing the unconscious body.
Is this compatible with astrology?
It uses astrological positions as input, but the interpretive layer is entirely its own.

I Ching Oracle

Open the tool →
How many hexagrams are there?
Sixty-four — every possible arrangement of six lines that are each either broken or unbroken.
What are changing lines?
Lines cast as old yin or old yang, which transform into their opposite and generate a second hexagram showing where the situation is heading.
Which translation should I read?
Wilhelm-Baynes is the classic English text; Rutt and Lynn are closer to the historical layers. Reading two side by side is standard practice.

Lenormand Cards

Open the tool →
How is Lenormand different from tarot?
Tarot is psychological and open-ended; Lenormand is literal and event-focused. Ask tarot what a situation means and Lenormand what is going to happen.
Why do the cards have playing-card pairs?
The deck descends from a game played with a piquet pack. Some readers use the insets for a second, cartomantic layer of meaning.
What is a Grand Tableau?
All thirty-six cards laid in a grid at once, read by houses, distances and lines. It is the traditional full reading and takes considerable practice.
Is this a prediction of my future?
No. It is offered for reflection and entertainment, and nothing here should replace practical, medical, legal or financial advice.

Life Path Number

Open the tool →
How do I calculate it correctly?
Reduce month, day and year separately, then add the three results and reduce again — preserving master numbers at each stage.
What if my life path is 11 or 22?
Read it as the master number and also as its reduced form. Most people alternate between the two across a lifetime.
Does time zone matter?
No — only the calendar date of birth, unlike astrology which needs the exact minute.

Love Reading

Open the tool →
Can a reading tell me if they will come back?
It can describe present conditions and their trend. Treat any confident prediction about another person's decisions with suspicion.
How often should I read on a relationship?
Monthly at most. More frequent reading tracks your anxiety rather than the relationship.
Is it wrong to read about someone without asking?
Many readers consider it a breach. A defensible compromise is to read only about your own side of the bond.

Mood, Energy & Moon Tracker

Open the tool →
Where is my data stored?
Entirely in your own browser's local storage. Nothing is uploaded, and clearing your browser data removes it.
What do the scales mean?
One is the worst version of that day for you, five the best. They are personal scales, not a clinical instrument.
Can I log a past day?
Yes — change the date before saving. Try not to go back more than a couple of days.
Is this a mental health tool?
No. It is offered for reflection and entertainment and is not a substitute for medical or psychological advice.

Moon Phases & Lunar Timing

Open the tool →
How long is a lunar cycle exactly?
The synodic month averages 29 days, 12 hours and 44 minutes — the time between one new Moon and the next.
Why does the Moon look larger near the horizon?
The Moon illusion is a perceptual effect, not an optical one; measured, it is the same size overhead.
Should I start rituals at the exact phase time?
The traditional window is the whole day. Precision to the minute is a modern habit, not a requirement.

My Mystic Profile

Open the tool →
Is my birth data private?
Yes. It is stored locally in your own browser and is never transmitted anywhere.
Why did my rising sign change when I fixed the time?
The ascendant advances about one degree every four minutes, so a corrected time of even half an hour can move it into the neighbouring sign.
Can I keep more than one profile?
The dashboard personalises to one chart, but the compatibility and birth chart tools accept any birth data you enter directly.
What does the app do with my chart?
It drives the dashboard placements, live transits, daily fortune, love and career readings, and the year-ahead forecast.

Mystic Library

Open the tool →
Where do these entries come from?
They synthesise the mainstream published traditions for each system — Rider–Waite–Smith and Golden Dawn material for tarot, Ptolemaic and modern psychological astrology, Elder Futhark rune poems, and the standard Wilhelm-lineage I Ching readings — rewritten in plain language.
Can I use the library without doing a reading?
Yes. Many people read the crystal, chakra and card entries purely as study material, and the guides are written to stand alone.
Why do some entries have no history section?
Where a tradition's origin is genuinely disputed or recent, we say so rather than inventing a lineage for it.
Is any of this scientifically verified?
No. Everything here is presented for reflection and entertainment, not as fact, diagnosis or advice.

Name Numerology

Open the tool →
What is the soul urge number?
The reduced sum of the vowels in your full name — traditionally read as your underlying motivation and desire.
Pythagorean or Chaldean?
Pythagorean maps A–I to 1–9 and repeats; Chaldean uses sound-based values 1–8. This app uses Pythagorean.
Should I include middle names?
Yes for the core reading. Compare against the name you use socially for a second layer.
What is a life path number?
The reduced sum of your full birth date — the single most important number in Western numerology, describing the arc of the life.
Why are 11, 22 and 33 not reduced?
They are master numbers, treated as intensified forms of 2, 4 and 6 with both greater potential and greater difficulty.
Which name do I use?
The full name as first recorded for core numbers; any name you currently use for how you present and are received.
How do I read the notches?
Ogham is written along a central line, with groups of one to five strokes above, below or across it. Each group of five forms an aicme.
Is the Celtic tree calendar authentic?
No. It was constructed by Robert Graves in 1948 and has no medieval basis, though it has been widely adopted since.
How many fews are there?
Twenty in the original alphabet, with five later forfeda added in manuscript tradition. This oracle uses the original twenty.
Should I make decisions on an ogham reading?
No. It is offered for reflection and entertainment. Use it to think, not as a substitute for advice or evidence.

Oracle Cards

Open the tool →
How is an oracle deck different from tarot?
No fixed count, no suits, no arcana. Each deck defines its own symbols and number of cards.
How many cards should I draw?
One for a daily focus, three for a situation. Beyond that, use a structured tarot spread instead.
What is Lenormand?
A thirty-six-card system from the early nineteenth century read in combinations and grids — the most structured of the oracle traditions.

Palm Reading

Open the tool →
Which hand should be read?
Both. The non-dominant hand for inherited disposition, the dominant one for the life as it has actually been lived.
What are the four hand types?
Earth, air, fire and water, determined by the ratio of palm length to finger length and by skin texture.
Can palmistry diagnose illness?
No. Some clinical signs appear in the hands, but reading them is medicine, not chiromancy — see a doctor.

Past Life Reading

Open the tool →
Is past-life regression evidence of reincarnation?
No. The narratives are consistent with imagination and suggestion; no regression has produced verified unavailable information.
Why does it feel so real?
Hypnotic states heighten vividness and reduce source monitoring, which makes constructed material feel remembered.
Is there any value in it then?
As structured imaginative work it can surface real present concerns in a form that is easier to look at.
What is the ideomotor effect?
Involuntary muscle movement produced by expectation rather than conscious intent — the same mechanism behind ouija boards and dowsing rods.
Can I ask the same question twice?
You can, but the second answer is contaminated by the first. Change the question instead.
What cord length is best?
Fifteen to twenty centimetres suits most hands. Longer cords swing slower and are easier to read.

Personalised Daily Horoscope

Open the tool →
What if I do not know my birth time?
Use midday. The Sun themes and most of the daily transits will hold; the rising sign and house layer become approximate, so weight them lightly.
Why does this differ from my usual horoscope app?
Because it reads your Moon and rising as well as your Sun, and it uses the transiting Moon's house position rather than a single sign-based paragraph.
How often does it change?
Every day. The Moon layer changes fastest, which is why the mood and the house focus shift while the broader themes stay recognisable for a few days.
Can I rely on this for decisions?
No. It is entertainment and reflection only, and should never replace professional medical, legal or financial advice.

Planets in Signs

Open the tool →
How do I find my planets?
Run the birth chart calculator — it lists all ten with sign, degree, house and retrograde status.
Why do my friends share my Pluto sign?
Pluto takes 248 years to orbit and spends a decade or two per sign, so everyone your age shares it.
What is the difference between sign and house?
Sign is how a planet behaves; house is which part of life it behaves in.
Which placement should I read first?
Sun, Moon and rising, then Venus and Mars — those five cover most of what people come looking for.

Reading Journal

Open the tool →
Where is my journal stored?
Entries are saved locally in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded, and clearing your browser data removes them.
How often should I read for myself?
Most readers find a weekly reading plus occasional situational draws sustainable. Daily readings on the same question tend to produce noise.
Should I record readings done with a physical deck?
Yes — add them as entries by hand. The journal is more useful when it covers your whole practice.
What if the record shows I am usually wrong?
Then it has done its job. Treat these readings as reflection and entertainment rather than prediction, and use the record to see what you actually get out of them.

Retrograde Tracker

Open the tool →
How often is Mercury retrograde?
Three or occasionally four times a year, for roughly three weeks at a time — about 18% of the year in total.
What is the shadow period?
The stretch before and after when the planet travels the same span of degrees. Many readers treat the whole span as one review cycle.
Does a natal retrograde planet mean something is wrong?
No. Around one person in five has Mercury retrograde natally; it usually describes an internal, self-checking style of thinking.
Are these dates exact?
They are calculated to within a day or so and offered for reflection and entertainment, not as an authority for decisions.

Rune Casting

Open the tool →
How many runes are in the Elder Futhark?
Twenty-four, divided into three groups of eight called aettir.
What are the rune poems?
Three surviving mnemonic poems — Old English, Norwegian and Icelandic — giving a stanza for each character. They are the primary source for meanings.
Can runes answer yes or no?
Better than tarot, worse than a pendulum. Single-rune draws read as tendency rather than verdict.

Saturn Return Calculator

Open the tool →
When exactly is my Saturn return?
Between roughly twenty-seven and thirty-one, and again near fifty-eight. The calculator here gives dates accurate to within a couple of weeks.
How long does it last?
Usually twelve to eighteen months, sometimes longer if Saturn crosses the natal degree three times.
What is a solar return?
The moment each year when the Sun comes back to its exact natal degree — the astrological birthday, read as a chart for the year ahead.
Should I make big decisions around it?
This is offered for reflection and entertainment only. Take real decisions with real advice, not with a planet.

Spirit Animal & Totem Reading

Open the tool →
Is 'spirit animal' an appropriate term?
Many Indigenous communities object to its casual use. 'Animal guide' or 'totem' in a clearly personal sense is the more careful framing.
Can I have more than one?
Most practitioners describe several across a lifetime, often one per phase or one per domain.
What if my animal is unglamorous?
Crows, rats and pigeons carry some of the richest folklore in the tradition. Glamour is not the measure.

Tarot Card Meanings

Open the tool →
Which suit corresponds to which element?
Wands to fire, cups to water, swords to air, pentacles to earth — the standard Golden Dawn attribution used by most modern decks.
Why are Strength and Justice numbered differently in some decks?
Waite exchanged them to fit a zodiacal sequence. Marseille decks keep the older order.
Are these images in the public domain?
Yes — the 1909 Rider–Waite–Smith illustrations are public domain in the United States and most of the world.

Tarot Combinations & Spread Builder

Open the tool →
How many cards can I combine at once?
Two is a sentence, three is a paragraph. Past seven, split the spread into groups and read each group first.
Should I use reversals in a custom spread?
Only if you can read them consistently. Half the tradition works entirely upright.
What if two cards seem to cancel out?
That is usually the reading: the situation is genuinely stalled between two pulls.
Is this the same as the daily draw?
No. The draw gives you cards; this page is about how to make them speak to each other.

Tarot Spreads

Open the tool →
How many cards are in a tarot deck?
Seventy-eight: twenty-two Major Arcana and fifty-six Minor Arcana across four suits of fourteen cards each.
What is the difference between tarot and oracle cards?
Tarot has a fixed seventy-eight-card structure with centuries of shared meaning. Oracle decks have no fixed structure and mean whatever their creator defines.
How often should I read for myself?
Once daily for a single card is sustainable. Full spreads more than weekly on the same question tend to blur rather than clarify.

Tea Leaf Reading

Open the tool →
What kind of cup should I use?
A wide, shallow, plain pale cup — patterned interiors make shapes impossible to read.
What do the three zones mean?
Rim for the present and immediate, side for the coming weeks, base for root causes and the deeper trend.
Can I read coffee grounds instead?
Yes — tasseomancy with Turkish or Greek coffee is the older and arguably richer tradition.
How often does the Moon change sign?
Roughly every two and a half days, completing the zodiac in about 27.3 days.
What is a lunation cycle?
New Moon to new Moon, about 29.5 days. Traditional practice begins projects at the new Moon and reviews them at the full.
Do eclipse effects last?
The classical rule gives an eclipse influence over roughly six months, with the strongest effects near the date itself.

Transit & Progression Report

Open the tool →
How close does an aspect have to be to count?
Within about five degrees for a personal planet and three for an outer one. Inside one degree it is the headline.
What is a progressed chart?
A symbolic chart where each day after birth stands for a year of life. It moves slowly and describes internal development rather than external events.
Why does the Moon appear so often?
It moves roughly thirteen degrees a day, so it aspects everything in your chart within a month. Treat it as weather, not climate.
Can I use this to make decisions?
It is offered for reflection and entertainment only, and should never replace practical, medical, legal or financial advice.

Vedic Astrology

Open the tool →
What is the ayanamsha?
The offset between tropical and sidereal zodiacs, currently around 24 degrees and increasing by about one degree every 72 years.
Why is my sign different here?
Because of that offset. Roughly eighty percent of people find their sidereal Sun one sign earlier.
How long is a dasha period?
From six years for the Sun to twenty for Venus, in a fixed 120-year cycle beginning at the birth nakshatra.

Year Ahead Forecast

Open the tool →
How accurate can a yearly forecast be?
It is reliable about theme and timing pressure, unreliable about specific events. Treat it as a climate map.
What is a profection year?
An annual advance of one whole house from the ascendant, activating that house and its ruler for twelve months.
Should I plan around difficult months?
Plan through them rather than around them — put the demanding, unglamorous work there and the launches elsewhere.

Yes / No Oracle

Open the tool →
What makes a good yes/no question?
Specific subject, specific time frame, exactly two possible answers, and an outcome you could later verify.
Why do I get 'yes, but'?
It marks favourable conditions with a dependency attached — most often timing or one thing you would need to change.
How often can I ask?
Once per question. Different questions on the same day are fine.

Your Dashboard

Open the tool →
Where is my data stored?
In your browser's local storage, on this device only. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to sign into.
Why is my dashboard generic?
Because no birth data has been saved yet. Add it on the profile page and every panel personalises.
How is the daily fortune generated?
Deterministically, from your saved details plus today's date. The same day and the same profile always produce the same fortune.
Is any of this predictive?
No. Everything on this page is offered for reflection and entertainment and is not advice of any kind.

Zodiac Compatibility

Open the tool →
What if I don't know their birth time?
You still get every planetary contact except Moon-precise aspects, the ascendant and the houses. That is enough for a useful reading.
Which contact matters most?
Sun-Moon for ease, Venus-Mars for attraction, Saturn for endurance, and Moon-Moon for whether daily life feels restful.
Can this work for friends and colleagues?
Yes. Read Mercury and Mars contacts for working pairs — communication and drive matter more there than Venus.
