In short
Play the solfeggio frequencies and chakra bowl notes in the browser, with what each tone is traditionally used for and four full sound protocols.
- Headphones change binaural and stereo work completely — use them for beats, skip them for bowls.
- Hum. Self-generated sound produces vibration in the sinuses and chest that no recording can reproduce.
- Avoid loud sound work with an active migraine, recent ear surgery or tinnitus flare.
- Evening sessions suit downshifting; morning sessions suit clearing. The same track does both, differently.

Music therapy in hospitals
Sound has been used as medicine for as long as there have been instruments: Vedic mantra, Pythagorean tuning as a cure for disordered passions, Tibetan and Himalayan metal bowls, Aboriginal Australian drone, and the long European tradition of plainchant as spiritual regulation.
The modern form assembled in the twentieth century from three streams — Himalayan bowl practice brought west in the 1960s, Hans Jenny's cymatics photographs of sound shaping matter, and clinical music therapy, which grew out of playing for wounded soldiers after both world wars.
Contemporary research supports the modest version of the claim: slow, sustained, low-frequency sound reliably shifts breathing rate and self-reported anxiety. The larger claims about cellular repair or frequency-specific cures are not supported.
Questions Readers Ask
How long should a session be?
Fifteen to forty minutes. Below ten the nervous system has barely begun to downshift; beyond an hour most people simply fall asleep, which is fine but is no longer sound work.
Bowls, tuning forks or binaural beats?
Bowls for whole-body vibration, forks for a specific area, binaural beats only through headphones for focus or sleep. Start with bowls.
Can I use it for sleep?
Yes — pick low, slow, unchanging drone and set a timer. Anything with a rhythmic pulse or melodic movement will keep you awake.
Is it safe with tinnitus?
Keep the volume very low, skip headphones and stop if ringing increases. Ask your clinician first if it is a recent change.
